Yoga is the path to awakening our wisdom.
With wisdom one can accept a simple fact like air in a jug is no different than the air surrounding the jug. The air is the same. So if we accept that the air in the jug is the same as the air outside the jug, it is not difficult to accept that the energy in our body is the same of the energy surrounding our bodies. And if we go even a step further, we can accept that the energy in our body, the energy outside our body and the energy in someone else body must also the same. Life is the same regardless of the vessel it is housed within. I firmly believe there is more good in this world than evil and by nature we all want to have the same feeling, the same connection. Why? Because, we are all in essence the same energy. We all want to be heard, we all want to feel loved, we all want to feel validated, and we all want to find freedom. However, some of us are sitting in the dark unable to find the path towards light. And those of us who truly have found the light, accept they will no longer walk this path to feed their own needs, but to feed all the needs of others. Why? Because, if we feed only one mouth, our own mouth, we only satisfy the one. But if we feed many mouths, we feed the heart of not just one but the universe heart of many and we can feel more peace than just the peace we feel when we move selfishly. Serving God within means serving all of God within. When I practice yoga, I do not practice to just give myself peace, I practice along side you so I can feel all of our vibrations, not just in me, but in all of us. Joining us as one. Your pain is my pain, your joy is my joy, your love is my love and my love is for you! I am thankful that 90 degrees has never functioned as an establishment, it does not belong to one, it belongs to all! May each of you find your love and know that you will never fall, because when you let yourself belong to all, all with support you.
Santa Helpers
Every year 90 degrees, along with Kerry Mckenzie, adopt over 70 children as Santa. We have the children ready at the studio! Their cute little faces and little wish lists are hanging and waiting, so please choose a child today. We need to have all the children adopted and gifts purchased and wrapped by December 11th. What a blessing to have these children on earth and even more of a blessing to be a part of keeping the giving spirit alive! Please make sure you take a photo, sign the sheet on the desk so we know who sponsored which child. This is important, if you have taken a child but forgot to sign on the sheet, please remember to the next time you are in. Then when you return the gifts, attach your photo back to the gift bag. Bless you for all your help. We could not do this amazing task without all of your support!

The journey itself is as important as the destination. The physical aspect of class is a fusionistic approach of bringing the best of many traditional hot yoga into one complete practice. Poses are held for a duration and in additon, a vinyasa flow component is added in between sequences to provide circulation and body movement. It is strength, cardio and peace all in one Yoga promotes weight loss, lowers stress, improves brain functioning, strengthens immune system, stabilizes moods, lowers chronic pain and will DRASTICALLY improve your body's overall appearance. Our studio maintains a 90 degree temperature and a 40 percent humidity level. The humidity allows you to glisten, breathe healthy (without dryness) and detoxify. The heat will make you stronger, healthier and happier. Avoid injury, burn calories and feel magnificent. 90 Degrees is an active yoga practice. Through the warrior based series, your body works while your mind rests. A rested mind results in removal of stress.
90 Degrees yoga is directed by Allison Lindquist. Allison has been practicing yoga for over 16 years and Hot Yoga for over 13 years. She became "hooked" on yoga after her first Bikram class in Florida, taught by James Barkan (founder of Barkan Method and considered one of Bikram's senior instructors) in 1997. From that point forward, her love of yoga "in the heat" flourished and grew, even through pregnancy! She continued to take classes daily for the next eight years at James Barkan's studio in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In addition, she studied Sampoorna Yoga directly with Yogi Hari, at Yogi Hari Ashram. As well as, completing various Power Yoga, vinyasa and Iyengar workshops. Allison was certified and trained at Barsana Dham Ashram. The experience allowed her to truly understand the roots of yoga and honor its heritage. Allison is a certified and registered Yoga Alliance instructor whom passionately loves teaching yoga. Upon moving here from Florida, her goal has been to join "Hot" and "Yoga"as one here in Greenville! We work the body. Building strength and flexiability.
